Job responsibilities

1. Analyze industry trends and conduct financial analysis and forecasting to support decision-making.
2. Review financial statements of target companies, including profitability, revenue patterns, and key performance indicators.
3. Evaluate projects and acquisition opportunities and provide clear recommendations.
4. Carry out detailed market and industry research to identify potential acquisition targets and assess competitive dynamics.
5. Support transaction processes by preparing presentations, reports, and documentation for internal and external parties.
6. Liaise with investment banking, legal, financial, regulatory, and tax advisors and other stakeholders.
7. Maintain effective documentation and internal controls.
8. Stay updated on capital market developments and emerging M&A best practices.
9. Gather, analyze and interpret financial, operational, and market data for forecasting and decision-making.
10. Assist in preparing investment presentations and reports for senior management and board discussions.
11. Conduct post-transaction reviews to evaluate financial and operational performance and ensure smooth integration.
12. Provide ad-hoc reports and analysis as required by the management.

Person specifications

1. Full or part qualification in CIMA / CFA, preferably with a bachelor’s degree in commerce or business management.
2. Minimum 2 years experience in a similar role, ideally within a group of companies.
3. Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, financial modelling, and related analytical tools.
4. Strong analytical capability with effective time management skills.
5. High attention to detail and accuracy.
6. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
7. Sound industry knowledge and awareness of market trends.
