The manager – maintenance & engineering is responsible for leading and managing all maintenance, engineering, and technical operations within the organization. This role ensures that all machinery, equipment, utilities, and facilities are maintained to achieve maximum efficiency, safety, and reliability. The position will oversee preventive maintenance programs, breakdown maintenance, engineering improvements, cost control, and compliance with safety and statutory requirements.
Role overview
- Lead and manage all maintenance and engineering activities to ensure smooth and uninterrupted operations.
- Plan and implement preventive maintenance programs and ensure timely completion of breakdown and corrective maintenance.
- Supervise and guide the maintenance team, ensuring proper task allocation, training, and performance monitoring.
- Manage plant utilities, equipment, and facilities, ensuring maximum efficiency, safety compliance, and minimal downtime.
Ideal candidate
- Degree/diploma in mechanical engineering / electrical engineering / industrial engineering or related field.
- Minimum 5–8 years of experience in maintenance & engineering, with at least 2–3 years in a managerial/supervisory role.
- Strong knowledge in preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and plant utility systems.
- Experience in manufacturing/industrial environment will be an added advantage.
