Role overview

The manager – human resources will lead the delivery of HR services for assigned business units, ensuring effective people management, talent development, and compliance with organizational policies. As a strategic partner to business leaders, the role will drive initiatives that enhance workforce productivity, strengthen employee engagement, and foster a high-performance culture. This position reports to the general manager – human resources.

Key responsibilities

  1. Act as a strategic HR business partner to leadership, aligning people strategies with business objectives.
  2. Drive workforce planning, succession planning, and talent development to build a strong leadership pipeline.
  3. Provide data-driven insights (e.g., attrition, engagement, performance) to inform decision-making and enhance organizational effectiveness.
  4. Lead employee relations, ensuring effective resolution of complex matters in line with company policy and best practice.
  5. Champion employee engagement and culture initiatives to strengthen retention and organizational health.
  6. Oversee performance management frameworks, fostering a high-performance and feedback-driven culture.
  7. Identify and develop high-potential talent to support long-term business growth.
  8. Ensure competitive and equitable compensation structures through benchmarking and incentive design.
  9. Oversee payroll, benefits, and insurance administration, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and efficiency.
  10. Manage vendor relationships (including insurers) to ensure optimal service delivery and employee coverage.
  11. Drive continuous improvement and standardization of HR processes and policies across the organization.
  12. Leverage HR systems and analytics to enhance operational efficiency and reporting.
  13. Ensure full compliance with labour laws, regulatory requirements, and internal policies, mitigating organizational risk.

Requirements

  1. Bachelor’s degree in human resources, business administration, or a related field; a professional HR qualification (CIPM, CIPD, or SHRM) will be an added advantage.
  2. 7–10 years of progressive HR experience, including at least 2–3 years in a managerial role.
  3. Experience working in a fast-paced, global organization, preferably within the outsourcing industry will be an advantage.
  4. Strong exposure to core HR functions, including employee relations, performance management, talent acquisition, and HR operations.
  5. Hands-on experience in compensation and benefits, and insurance administration, including vendor coordination.
  6. Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities, with effective stakeholder management skills to support business decision-making.
  7. Excellent communication, leadership, and organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and handle confidential information with discretion.
