Key responsibilities
- Strategic modern trade development: Drive expansion of SpiceUp products across supermarket and hypermarket chains.
- New product placement: Manage end-to-end product listing and onboarding processes.
- Buyer relationship management: Build and maintain strong relationships with purchasing principals and category managers.
- Commercial negotiation: Negotiate listing fees, promotions, shelf placements and trade agreements.
- Merchandising & visibility: Ensure strong in-store presence and category visibility.
- Market intelligence: Monitor competitor activity and identify growth opportunities.
- Sales performance reporting: Track account performance and achieve growth objectives.
Applicant profile
- Manager – modern trade: Minimum 5–7 years of sales experience, with at least 3–4 years specifically in modern trade / FMCG / consumer goods.
- Assistant manager – modern trade: Minimum 3–5 years of sales experience, with at least 2 years in modern trade or key account management.
- Strong industry connections: Ensure relationships with purchasing principals and category managers of leading supermarket.
- Proven listing success: Track record of introducing and expanding products within modern trade channels.
- Strong negotiation skills: Ability to secure commercial agreements and growth opportunities.
- Analytical & commercial mindset: Comfortable working with sales targets, reports and market analysis.
- Educational qualifications: Diploma or degree in marketing, business management or related field.
- Driving license: Valid driving license preferred.
