Manager – administration & operations

The Sri Lanka Association for the Advancement of Quality and Productivity (SLAAQP) invites applications from suitably qualified, dynamic, and experienced professionals for the position of Manager – Administration & Operations.
Key responsibilities
- Manage the overall administration and daily operations of the association.
- Coordinate council meetings, executive committee meetings, annual general meetings, and other official events.
- Implement and monitor council decisions, strategic initiatives, and operational plans.
- Manage membership administration, records, correspondence, and stakeholder communications.
- Coordinate national conventions, quality and productivity awards, training programs, workshops, and conferences.
- Prepare reports, budgets, meeting papers, and operational performance updates.
- Liaise with government institutions, professional bodies, corporate members, sponsors, and other stakeholders.
- Ensure compliance with governance, statutory, and regulatory requirements.
- Supervise administrative and support staff and manage service providers.
- Maintain effective office systems and administrative procedures.
Qualifications & experience
- Age: above 35 years.
- Bachelor’s degree in management, business administration, public administration, operations management, or a related discipline from a recognized university.
- Professional qualifications in management, administration, quality management, project management, or related fields will be an added advantage.
- Minimum of 5 years of managerial experience in administration, operations, project coordination, or organizational management.
- Experience working with professional associations, chambers, NGOs, educational institutions, or member-based organizations will be a distinct advantage.
- Excellent command of English and Sinhala (both written and spoken). Knowledge of Tamil will be an added advantage.
- Strong computer literacy, including Microsoft Office applications and digital communication platforms.
