Management Trainee – Engineering

We are the global leaders in the field of operations looking for an energetic and self-motivated person capable of taking on future leadership responsibilities within our operations. The position is crucial in ensuring the smooth operation of our production processors. You would be reporting to the production/finished goods manager and be responsible for overseeing the finished goods and packing operations, ensuring products are prepared as per specifications, maintaining quality and food safety standards, and ensuring smooth day-to-day operations and on-time dispatches. The role requires strong coordination skills, attention to detail, and a continuous improvement mindset to maximize operational efficiency and minimize downtime.

Duties

1. Finished goods preparation and verification as per specifications
2. Production, packing and dispatch monitoring to achieve OTIF targets
3. Maintaining quality, hygiene, GMP and food safety standards
4. Coordination with production, QA, warehouse and planning teams
5. Troubleshooting operational issues and supporting continuous improvements
6. Documentation, reporting and stock reconciliation
7. Team supervision, safety compliance and good housekeeping

Requirements

1. B.Sc. in chemical / process / food engineering or equivalent qualification from a reputed university
2. Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply; prior experience would be an added advantage
3. Excellent communication skills in Sinhala and English
4. Strong coordination, analytical and interpersonal skills
5. Keen attention to detail and ability to work independently as well as part of a team
6. Basic understanding of GMP, HACCP and food safety systems would be an added advantage
7. Leadership and people-handling skills
8. The right candidate should possess a high level of integrity, initiative and a willingness to take on additional responsibilities is vital for this role.
9. Candidates residing within the Gampaha/ Kegalle/ Kurunegala districts would have an advantage.
