Responsibilities

1. Architect and refine end-to-end testing processes (functional, exploratory, regression, UAT).
2. Develop and maintain hierarchical test plans and checklists in Testpad.
3. Run and document manual test cases in Testpad against functional requirements; log defects with clear reproduction steps in Jira.
4. Guide the team in executing manual and exploratory tests across web, mobile, and API endpoints, verify defect reproduction steps, and log detailed issues in Jira.
5. Establish and monitor key metrics, generate stakeholder-ready dashboards in Testpad and Jira.
6. Coach and mentor junior QA engineers and guest testers.
7. Collaborate with stakeholders, developers, and operations to clarify requirements and validate fixes through Jira workflows.
8. Lead retrospectives focused on QA process enhancements, eliminate non-value-add activities, and introduce low-code or automation tooling where it accelerates quality without compromising thoroughness.

Required skills & experience

1. Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or related field (or equivalent practical experience).
2. 5+ years in QA with at least 3 years in a lead or senior role directing test efforts.
3. Deep proficiency in manual and exploratory testing methodologies; strong analytical skills for uncovering edge-case defects.
4. Proven track record using Testpad for test-case management and Jira for defect tracking.
5. Exceptional people-management skills.
6. Solid understanding of Agile testing practices, continuous testing, and iterative feedback loops.
7. Ability to identify critical issues early, assess impact, and recommend effective mitigation strategies.
