Eskimo Fashion Knitwear (Pvt) Ltd is seeking a highly competent and results-driven knitting production manager to lead and manage flat knitting operations. The role requires strong technical expertise in Stoll and Chinese flat knitting machines, with full responsibility for production planning, execution, efficiency improvement, and quality assurance in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This position plays a critical role in achieving production targets, optimizing machine utilization, and ensuring on-time delivery while maintaining international quality standards.

Key requirements

1. Plan, organize, and oversee daily knitting production activities in line with order priorities and delivery schedules.
2. Ensure optimum utilization of man, machine, and material to achieve maximum productivity and cost efficiency.
3. Manage and monitor performance of flat knitting machines (Stoll and Chinese machines) to ensure high efficiency and minimal downtime.
4. Develop and execute production schedules, ensuring timely completion of orders and adherence to critical path timelines.
5. Monitor production output, efficiency, wastage, and quality; implement corrective actions where necessary.
6. Analyse production data, identify bottlenecks, and implement continuous improvement initiatives.
7. Ensure product quality meets customer and international standards, minimizing defects and rejections.
8. Coordinate with planning, maintenance, quality assurance, and merchandising teams for smooth workflow.
9. Lead, train, and develop production teams including operators, technicians, and supervisors.
10. Oversee machine maintenance coordination to ensure maximum uptime and operational efficiency.
11. Ensure adherence to safety, compliance, and workplace standards across all operations.
12. Prepare and present daily, weekly, and monthly production reports to senior management.

Qualifications & experience

1. Minimum 5-8 years of experience in knitting production, with at least 2-3 years in a managerial role would be a distinct advantage.
2. Proven hands-on experience with flat knitting machines (Stoll / Chinese brands).
3. Strong knowledge of yarn behaviour, fabric structures, gauge, and knitting parameters.
4. Experience in production planning, capacity management, and efficiency optimization.
5. Familiarity with ERP systems and production reporting tools (Excel, etc.).
6. Experience in a sweater production environment will be a distinct advantage.
