Junior Executive | Executive – Internal Audit

Job role

1. Assist in developing audit plans and identifying areas of risk within the company.
2. Carry out the audits in the branches and head office under the guidance of senior auditors, which may include financial, operational, compliance, and systems audits.
3. Drafting audit reports and clearly communicate audit findings and recommendations for the supervisor review.
4. Follow up on the implementation of audit recommendations to ensure that corrective actions are taken and are effective.
5. Assist in special projects as required by management, which could include investigations into specific operational or financial issues.
6. Work closely with various departments to improve internal controls and governance processes.
7. Participate in continuous education to improve knowledge and skills relevant to the audit profession and the finance industry.

Qualifications & experience required

1. Partly qualified or currently pursuing examinations of CA Sri Lanka or a similar recognized professional qualification, or a graduate in accounting/finance.
2. Minimum of 1 year of experience in a reputed audit firm or within a finance company.
3. Excellent report writing skills in English; proficiency in Tamil will be considered a distinct advantage.
4. Candidates with data analytical skills and exposure to AI-driven tools and techniques will have a distinct advantage.
5. Sound knowledge in financial analysis and other related industry skills.
6. Willingness to travel across the country as required.
7. Strong ability to meet deadlines and work under pressure.
8. Preference will be given to candidates residing in or within close proximity to Kandy, Galle, or Colombo.
