ISO and accreditation coordinator

We are looking for a motivated and well-organised ISO and accreditation coordinator based in Sri Lanka to support the development of an inspection and audit services business.

This role is suitable for someone with experience in ISO documentation, document control, internal audit coordination, HACCP, GMP, ISO 9001, ISO 22000, or accreditation-related documentation.

The successful candidate will work closely with a New Zealand-based team to develop procedures, maintain records, coordinate documentation, support accreditation preparation, and assist with business administration and client coordination in Sri Lanka.

Key responsibilities

  1. Develop, maintain and control ISO-related documents, procedures, forms and records.
  2. Support the preparation of documentation for accreditation and certification-related systems.
  3. Assist with ISO/IEC 17020, ISO/IEC 17021-1, ISO 9001, ISO 22000, HACCP and GMP-related documentation where applicable.
  4. Maintain document registers, record registers, training records, competency records and audit records.
  5. Assist with preparing internal audit records, corrective action records and management review documentation.
  6. Coordinate communication with clients, auditors, inspectors, consultants and other relevant parties.
  7. Assist with preparing proposals, quotations, service descriptions and client follow-up emails.
  8. Support supplier audit, audit, inspection and compliance service planning.
  9. Conduct basic research on Sri Lankan sector requirements, accreditation requirements and market opportunities.
  10. Maintain organised files using Microsoft Office, Excel, SharePoint, Google Drive or similar systems.
  11. Provide regular progress updates to management.

Required qualifications and experience

  1. Previous experience in ISO documentation, quality assurance, certification, accreditation, or compliance administration.
  2. Good understanding of ISO standards such as ISO 9001, ISO 22000, HACCP, GMP, or related systems.
  3. Experience in document control, procedure writing, record management or audit coordination.
  4. Strong written and spoken English.
  5. Good computer skills, especially Microsoft Word, Excel and online file management systems.
  6. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  7. Good attention to detail and strong organisational skills.

Preferred experience

Experience in one or more of the following will be an advantage:

  1. Manufacturing, QA or QC.
  2. Certification body, inspection body, laboratory, consultancy or auditing company.
  3. HACCP documentation and implementation.
  4. ISO 9001 or ISO 22000 internal audit coordination.
  5. GMP audits, supplier audits or compliance checks.
  6. SLAB accreditation-related documentation.
  7. Client coordination or business administration.
