Head of Leasing

Requirements

1. Minimum of 8 –12 years’ experience in the financial services sector, with at least 3 years in a senior managerial role in leasing/asset finance.
2. Possess a degree in marketing, business administration, credit management from a recognized university or professional qualification (e.g., SLIM, CIM) will be an added advantage.
3. Strong knowledge of leasing operations, credit risk management, and regulatory requirements in Sri Lanka.
4. Proven track record in achieving business growth and portfolio management.
5. Excellent leadership, people management, and decision-making skills.
6. Strong analytical, negotiation, communication and relationship management capabilities.
7. Sound understanding of market dynamics and competitor activities in the leasing sector.

Duties & Responsibilities

1. Managing the overall leasing portfolio of the organization, ensuring a sustainable growth and profitability.
2. Developing and implementing strategic plans to expand leasing business in line with corporate objectives.
3. Driving business development initiatives to acquire new clients and strengthen existing customer relationships.
4. Overseeing credit evaluation, risk assessment, and approval processes for leasing proposals in compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements.
5. Ensuring strict adherence to guidelines issued by the Central Bank of Sri Lanka (CBSL) and other regulatory authorities.
6. Monitor portfolio performance, including arrears management, recovery strategies, and asset quality.
7. Collaborate with sales, credit, legal, and operations teams to ensure efficient service delivery.
8. Lead, mentor, and develop the leasing team to achieve business targets and maintain high performance standards.
9. Preparing and present periodic reports to senior management on business performance, market trends, and risk exposure.
10. Identify new market opportunities, products, and partnerships to enhance the leasing sector.
