In line with our rapid expansion, we are seeking a highly motivated, dynamic, and results-driven individual to fill the following position immediately.

Key responsibilities

1. Assist in maintaining fire prevention and firefighting systems within the factory premises.
2. Conduct routine inspections of fire hydrants, extinguishers, alarms, smoke detectors, and emergency exits.
3. Support the fire officer in emergency response operations during fire incidents and evacuation procedures.
4. Participate in and assist with fire drills and emergency preparedness programs for employees.
5. Monitor factory operations to identify fire hazards and unsafe practices and report them immediately.
6. Perform any other duties assigned by the section head.

Qualifications and attributes

1. Passed G.C.E. O/L (including Sinhala and mathematics); English will be an added advantage.
2. NVQ level 03 certificate in fire & rescue.
3. Minimum one year of experience in firefighting.
4. Passing the preliminary firefighting examination will be considered a special qualification.
5. Involvement in cadetship, scouting, sports, or other team activities.
6. Good physical fitness and ability to work on a shift basis.
