Rumex is a Sri Lankan-based software product development company based in Pelawatta, specializing in video streaming / OTT / IPTV platforms and VAS Telco platforms. We design and deliver world-class digital media and telecom solutions that empower businesses and delight users.

What we’re looking for

1. Qualification: AAT or above (part-qualified ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent is a plus)
2. Experience: 1+ years in accounting or finance
3. Solid understanding of bookkeeping, payroll, and taxation
4. Experience using QuickBooks, or other ERP systems
5. Proficiency in MS Excel and great attention to detail
6. A proactive, can-do attitude with a love for learning

What you’ll be doing

1. Maintain accurate bookkeeping and daily accounting entries
2. Manage accounts payable/receivable, bank reconciliations, and vendor payments
3. Process monthly payroll, including statutory deductions
4. Handle tax filings with external consultants
5. Prepare monthly financial reports and assist with audits
6. Keep all records organized, efficient, and audit-ready
