Competencies

1. Assist in the preparation and execution of detailed production schedules by coordinating closely with the planning manager to ensure customer orders are fulfilled within agreed timelines and operational targets.
2. Support the alignment of production plans with sales forecasts, available capacity, and inventory levels by gathering relevant data and updating planning inputs on a regular basis.
3. Work collaboratively with production, stores, procurement, and logistics teams to facilitate smooth material flow and ensure that daily operational activities are carried out without disruptions.
4. Monitor inventory levels of raw materials, packing materials, and finished goods, and assist in raising material requisitions to maintain adequate stock levels while minimizing excess and shortages.
5. Track production progress against planned schedules, identify variances, and report deviations to the planning manager while supporting corrective actions to keep operations on track.
6. Maintain accurate and timely updates in the ERP system related to production plans, material movements, and inventory records to ensure data reliability for planning and reporting purposes.
7. Assist in the preparation of routine planning reports, including daily and weekly updates, by compiling data and highlighting key observations to support effective decision-making.

Candidate profile

1. Bachelor’s degree in physical science, engineering or equivalent qualification in a related field.
2. Minimum of 2 – 3 years of experience in a similar role.
3. Experience in ceramic-based industries would be an added advantage.
4. Proven experience working with ERP / MRP systems and structured planning processes.
5. Proficiency in MS Excel and other planning or reporting tools.
6. Strong coordination and communication skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
7. Ability to perform under pressure and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
