Executive – Industrial Engineering (Dambulla)

We are looking for a dynamic individuals with a passion to pursue a career in industrial engineering department. The ideal candidate should be energetic, team player with excellent communication, proactive attitude, ability to be self-motivated and work independently to achieve tight deadlines.

Role & responsibility

1. Prepare line layouts & operation breakdowns on time.
2. Prepare plant machine requirements.
3. Prepare operation breakdowns for costing purpose.
4. Prepare & issue IE monthly and daily reports on time for management.
5. Meet monthly savings targets.
6. Do innovations as per the plant KPI.
7. Meet plant plan efficiency & standards hours.
8. Check and confirm thread consumptions.
9. Time study and motion study.
10. Taking the capacity study of full-line and line balancing for clean-up bottleneck area.
11. Follow-up the low performing operators.
12. Operation breakdown, operation bulleting / layout.
13. SMV calculation by time study.
14. Process-wise operator skill development.
15. Nonproductive time (loss time) record and reduce.
16. Hourly production monitoring & achieve the line forecasted output.
17. Prepare man machine report.
18. 6s implementation, training, and auditing.
19. Eliminating excess manpower.
20. Work with production floor/operational management to improve efficiencies.

Qualifications & experience

1. Studied up to G.C.E (A/L).
2. ICT literacy.
3. GSD knowledge.
4. Presentation skills.
5. Initiative.
6. 3 years relevant field work experience and knowledge in IE function.
7. IT literacy and communication skills.
8. Knowledge in lean manufacturing.
9. Ability to work as a team.
