Estimator / Quantity Surveyor (Construction Cost Estimation)

Quantimate International Pvt Ltd is a specialist construction estimating and quantity surveying consultancy delivering projects across Australia, the UK, UAE, USA, and other international markets.

We are seeking an experienced Estimator / Quantity Surveyor with a strong background in preparation of Bills of Quantities (BOQs), quantity take offs, cost estimation, rate build ups, and tender pricing. The successful candidate will play a key role in delivering accurate and commercially sound estimates for a diverse range of construction projects.

Key responsibilities

1. Prepare detailed Bills of Quantities (BOQs) from drawings, specifications, and project documentation
2. Carry out accurate quantity take-offs and measurements in accordance with industry standards
3. Develop comprehensive cost estimates, rate analyses, and pricing schedules for tender submissions
4. Prepare cost plans, budget estimates, and tender documentation for international construction projects
5. Review drawings and specifications to identify scope, risks, and pricing considerations
6. Maintain and update cost databases, labour rates, and pricing templates
7. Collaborate with senior estimators, project managers, and clients to ensure accurate and competitive submissions
8. Meet tender deadlines while maintaining a high level of accuracy and attention to detail

Requirements

1. Degree or diploma in quantity surveying, civil engineering, construction management, or a related discipline
2. 6 to 10 years of experience in construction estimating and quantity surveying
3. Demonstrated experience preparing BOQs, cost estimates, rate build ups, and tender submissions
4. Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and pricing principles
5. Experience across building, civil, infrastructure, and MEP projects will be highly regarded
6. Proficiency in estimating software (Cubit experience is advantageous)
7. Advanced MS Excel skills and strong computer literacy
8. Excellent analytical, numerical, and problem-solving skills
9. Strong written and verbal English communication skills
