Electrical Foreman
The position is available within the Engineering Department of our terminal operations at the Port of Colombo and will report directly to the Electrical Engineer – Engineering Facilities.
The role
The Electrical Foreman is mainly responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, remodeling and repairing electrical systems with experience ranging from medium voltage systems to extra low voltage systems and MEP systems.

Qualifications, experience and other attributes
- Must possess a diploma or an equivalent qualification, such as NVQ level 5 in Electrical Engineering.
- A minimum of 5 years of industrial experience as an electrical foreman is a must.
- Hands-on experience with 11kV power systems and low voltage power systems is a must.
- Previous experience in a facility management system will be an added advantage.
- Ability to work under pressure in a diverse work environment, effectively managing personnel, equipment and materials, preparing and coordinating daily schedules, monitoring progress and planning for future projects.
- Port and MEP-related experience will be an added advantage.
- Capacity to use email and fair knowledge of Microsoft packages is essential.
- Physically and mentally fit with the ability to perform duties effectively.
- Candidates below 40 years of age are preferred due to the nature of the working environment.
