Electrical engineer – solar PV / electrical

Sunpower energy systems (Pvt.) Ltd is looking forward to recruiting an Electrical Engineer (Solar PV/ Electrical) immediately.

Candidate profile & duties

1. Organize site visits and collect necessary data to prepare an initial design and estimation of solar PV system.
2. Prepare the required designs, drawings and guide the site personnel to ensure the project will be delivered to the client to expected standards.
3. Work independently with minimum supervision to meet given deadlines.
4. Coordinate with suppliers and contractors to ensure activities on site are implemented meeting budgets, schedules and quality plan.
5. Prepare computer simulation reports, as-built drawings, and handing over reports and conduct on-site testing and commissioning.
6. Overall planning and monitoring of projects, assuring purchasing and installation are done up to expected standards, maintaining the quality within the allocated budget.
7. Assist with operational and maintenance tasks after the site has been implemented.

Qualifications & experience

1. Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering with ECSL associate engineer recognition level will be accepted.
2. Minimum 2 years of designing and planning experience in solar PV systems will be preferred. Fresh graduates from ECSL recognized degree programs are welcome to apply.
3. Proficient in MS Office Package, AutoCAD, PVsyst software and strong presentation skills, both in Sinhala and English language will be required.
4. Understanding of inverter characteristics, I-V curves, and strong understanding in DC/AC electrical theories.
5. Ability to prioritize and work under pressure and excellent interpersonal skills.
