Compliance Officer

Key responsibilities
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements set by the Insurance Regulatory Commission of Sri Lanka (IRCSL), Central Bank of Sri Lanka and other applicable laws.
- Develop, implement, and maintain internal compliance policies, procedures, and controls.
- Conduct periodic compliance reviews, audits, and risk assessments.
- Manage regulatory reporting and maintain accurate compliance documentation.
- Liaise with regulatory authorities and ensure timely submissions.
- Monitor changes in insurance and financial services regulations and ensure company-wide implementation.
- Provide guidance and training to staff on compliance obligations and best practices.
Key requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in law, finance, business administration, or a related field.
- Professional qualifications in compliance, risk management, or insurance will be an added advantage.
- Minimum 3-5 years’ experience in a compliance role within insurance, broking, or financial services.
- Strong working knowledge of Sri Lankan insurance regulatory requirements.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
- High level of integrity, professionalism, and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently in a small, dynamic team environment.
