Compliance Officer

Key responsibilities

  1. Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements set by the Insurance Regulatory Commission of Sri Lanka (IRCSL), Central Bank of Sri Lanka and other applicable laws.
  2. Develop, implement, and maintain internal compliance policies, procedures, and controls.
  3. Conduct periodic compliance reviews, audits, and risk assessments.
  4. Manage regulatory reporting and maintain accurate compliance documentation.
  5. Liaise with regulatory authorities and ensure timely submissions.
  6. Monitor changes in insurance and financial services regulations and ensure company-wide implementation.
  7. Provide guidance and training to staff on compliance obligations and best practices.

Key requirements

  1. Bachelor’s degree in law, finance, business administration, or a related field.
  2. Professional qualifications in compliance, risk management, or insurance will be an added advantage.
  3. Minimum 3-5 years’ experience in a compliance role within insurance, broking, or financial services.
  4. Strong working knowledge of Sri Lankan insurance regulatory requirements.
  5. Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
  6. High level of integrity, professionalism, and attention to detail.
  7. Ability to work independently in a small, dynamic team environment.
