Working at Dutch hospital food court.

Shift: 3:00 PM – 11:00 PM

Shift breakdown:

  1. 3:00 – 4:00 PM — Prep
  2. 4:00 – 10:00 PM — Service
  3. 10:00 – 11:00 PM — Cleaning

Responsibilities

  1. Prep and portion chicken wings and thick-cut fries before service begins.
  2. Operate the fryer safely and consistently throughout service.
  3. Sauce wings to order — BBQ, peri peri, or plain — with the correct coat every time.
  4. Maintain mise en place: sauces, seasoning, and fry stock must never run low mid-service.
  5. Monitor oil temperature and fry times to ensure consistency.
  6. Work the pass cleanly — no cold food, no soggy fries, no wrong orders.
  7. Keep the station clean throughout service, not only at close.
  8. Complete full close-down by 11:00 PM: surfaces, fryer, utensils, and storage.
  9. Flag low stock before the next shift.

Requirements

  1. Prior kitchen experience, preferably in a fast-service setting.
  2. Comfortable operating a fryer under volume.
  3. Basic food safety knowledge. Certification is a plus.
  4. Available for evening shifts including weekends and public holidays.
