Chief Operating Officer
The role
We are seeking an accomplished and mature professional to join our executive leadership team as chief operating officer (COO). The primary mandate is to ensure seamless synergy between our manufacturing facilities and centralized functions, including logistics, procurement, finance, and administration. This is a role for a steward of operational excellence who can translate strategic vision into disciplined execution.
Key accountabilities
- Operational governance: Provide high-level oversight of three multi-sector manufacturing plants to ensure optimal productivity, safety, and compliance.
- Functional integration: Coordinate central group operations to streamline the supply chain, enhance procurement efficiencies, and maintain rigorous financial discipline.
- Customer-centric focus: Ensure that all operational outputs are aligned with the exacting requirements of our international clientele and global market trends.
- Strategic leadership: Act as a key advisor to the board on operational risk, capacity planning, and long-term sustainability.
The candidate
The successful candidate will possess a recognizable professional background and a proven track record of leadership within a large-scale, export-oriented environment.
- Experience: Extensive hands-on operational experience at a senior level is essential. Familiarity with the complexities of food and beverage manufacturing or similar value-added industries is highly advantageous.
- Attributes: We seek a mature leader characterized by emotional intelligence, a methodical approach to problem-solving, and the ability to command respect across all levels of the organization.
- Qualifications: A relevant professional or academic qualification (e.g., MBA, engineering, or chartered status in finance/management) is expected.
