Chief Financial Officer

Reporting to the managing director / CEO, the selected candidate will play a pivotal role in driving financial strategy, ensuring robust governance, and positioning the organization for sustainable growth and public market success.

The ideal candidate profile

1. Member of CA Sri Lanka, ACCA, CIMA, or an equivalent internationally recognized professional accounting qualification.
2. Bachelors or master’s degree in finance, accounting, business administration, or a related field will be an added advantage.
3. Minimum 8–10 years of progressive experience in finance and accounting, with at least 3–5 years in a senior managerial or leadership role (head of finance / CFO / deputy CFO level).
4. Prior experience in the manufacturing sector is highly preferred.
5. Strong exposure to IPO / PLC listing processes, corporate governance, and public company compliance will be a distinct advantage.
6. Proven track record in financial strategy development, business partnering, and supporting organizational growth.
7. Hands-on experience in banking relationships, cash flow optimization, taxation, auditing, and statutory compliance.
8. Sound knowledge of ERP systems and advanced financial tools (e.g., Power BI, advanced Excel, etc.).
9. Excellent leadership, analytical, communication, negotiation, and decision-making skills.
10. High level of integrity, professionalism, confidentiality, and ethical standards.
11. Age below 50 years is preferred.

Key responsibilities

1. Lead the overall financial strategy, planning, and reporting functions to support business growth and the company’s upcoming transformative phase from a private limited company to a public listed company (PLC).
2. Oversee financial operations including budgeting, forecasting, cash flow management, and investment planning.
3. Ensure full compliance with statutory, regulatory, and tax requirements in Sri Lanka, with strong readiness for listing and ongoing public company obligations.
4. Manage banking relationships, treasury functions, and funding arrangements.
5. Implement and strengthen internal controls, risk management, and corporate governance frameworks.
6. Drive ERP optimization and advanced financial reporting systems for timely, accurate decision-making.
7. Provide strategic financial insights to the board and CEO to support key business initiatives and expansion plans.
