Assistant Technical Engineer

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Assistant Technical Engineer to join our dynamic technical engineering team. The ideal candidate will specialize in designing, analyzing, and overseeing the implementation of formwork and structural systems for a variety of construction projects, including residential, commercial, and industrial developments. This role offers the opportunity to work on cutting-edge projects while collaborating with a multidisciplinary team of engineers, architects, and construction professionals.

Job responsibilities

1. Develop detailed formwork designs and structural plans, ensuring compliance with project specifications, building codes, and safety standards.
2. Prepare and present technical reports, proposals, and project documentation.
3. Creating documented quality system procedures and instructions to ensure that all activities are performed in accordance with established requirements.
4. Providing the guidelines for preparation, review, distribution of documents, drawings specifications, procedures, correspondence handled by all the sections of the company.
5. Provide product/system technical presentation to the customers in case of necessity.
6. Delivering technical training sessions for the non-technical members.
7. Conduct inspections and assessments to ensure the quality and integrity of formwork installations.
8. Collaborate with on-site teams to address formwork-related challenges during construction.

Education required and experience required

1. Bachelor’s degree, HND, NDT in civil engineering, structural engineering, or a related field.
2. 1-2 years of experience in structural and formwork engineering in the construction industry.
3. Having knowledge in aluminium system formwork will be considered as added advantage.

Competencies and skills required

1. Proficiency in engineering software such as AutoCAD.
2. Knowledge of relevant building codes and standards.
3. Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
4. Possess good inter-personnel skill to interact with all levels internally or externally in a professional and responsive manner.
5. Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
