Assistant Storekeeper

We are seeking an organized and detail-oriented Assistant Storekeeper to manage our inventory, warehousing, and distribution operations. In this role, you will play a vital part in ensuring that the right products are delivered to the right locations, on time, and cost-effectively. You will be actively involved in transportation coordination, stock control, warehouse management, and monitoring the continuous flow of goods.

Key responsibilities

1. Inventory & stock control: Monitor stock levels, conduct regular inventory counts, and maintain accurate records of incoming and outgoing goods.
2. Warehouse management: Organize the warehouse space efficiently to ensure safe storage, easy accessibility, and optimal space utilization.
3. Logistics & distribution: Coordinate transportation and logistics to guarantee timely and accurate delivery of products to designated locations.
4. Supply chain monitoring: Track and monitor the flow of goods from receiving to dispatch, identifying and resolving any delays or discrepancies.
5. Cost efficiency: Assist in managing warehouse operations in a manner that minimizes waste, reduces damages, and optimizes operational costs.
6. Documentation: Prepare and maintain delivery notes, receiving reports, and other essential supply chain documentation.

Requirements & qualifications

1. Proven experience as an Assistant Storekeeper, Warehouse Assistant, or a similar role in logistics and supply chain. (3 years’ experience in a similar role).
2. Diploma in stock management or equivalent.
3. Strong understanding of stock control, inventory management, and warehousing procedures.
4. Excellent organizational and time-management skills with the ability to meet strict deadlines.
5. Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team.
6. Basic computer literacy (experience with inventory management software or MS Excel is a plus).
7. Physical stamina and the ability to lift or move heavy items as required by warehouse duties.
8. Ability to build strong working relationships, with global colleagues and be multicultural.
