Assistant Manager – Finance (Deposit Operations)

As the assistant manager – finance (deposit operations), you will be responsible for overseeing end-to-end deposit-related operations, ensuring accurate processing of fixed deposits (FD) and savings transactions, and maintaining strong financial control across all deposit activities. You will support financial reporting requirements, ensure regulatory compliance, and uphold the integrity of deposit operations within the organization. The selected candidate will report directly to the relevant senior manager and will be part of a dynamic, performance-driven finance team within the non-banking financial services sector. The job role

1. Process and review fixed deposit (FD) and savings receipts, withdrawals, interest payments, and fund transfers.
2. Assist in the preparation and review of financial reports, schedules, and regulatory submissions.
3. Perform and monitor general ledger (GL) reconciliations.
4. Review FD certificates, balance confirmations, and withholding tax (WHT) certificates for accuracy and compliance.
5. Supervise daily finance operations relating to deposits and verify deposit insurance payments.
6. Ensure adherence to internal controls, policies, and regulatory requirements.
7. Undertake any other duties assigned by management in line with the role.

Experience / qualifications / skills

1. A degree in accounting, finance, or a related discipline will be an added advantage.
2. Part-qualified in ICASL / CIMA / ACCA or equivalent.
3. Minimum 2-4 years’ experience in a bank or licensed finance company.
4. Knowledge of deposit operations, WHT, and financial reporting processes.
5. Strong attention to detail with a control- and compliance-focused mindset.
