Assistant Cost Accountant

Key responsibilities

1. Assist in preparing cost estimates, budgets and financial reports for construction projects.
2. Monitor project costs and prepare cost comparisons and variance analysis.
3. Maintain accurate cost records and assist in cost control activities.
4. Support in preparing tender documents and bills of quantities.
5. Coordinate with project teams, suppliers and subcontractors.

Requirements

1. Part qualification in CIMA / ACCA / CA Sri Lanka or AAT passed finalist.
2. 1-2 years of experience in cost accounting (preferably in construction industry).
3. Proficiency in MS Excel and accounting software.
4. Strong analytical, numerical and communication skills.
5. Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
