Accounts Executive

Are you a detail-driven finance professional with a solid command of statutory compliance and financial reporting? We are looking for a talented Accounts Executive to join our finance team. In this role, you will play a key part in maintaining our financial integrity, ensuring regulatory compliance, and supporting the smooth day-to-day operations of our accounting function.

Key responsibilities

  1. Prepare accurate financial statements and manage all accounting-related activities within agreed deadlines.
  2. Handle the preparation and timely submission of statutory tax returns, including VAT, SSCL, WHT, and income tax.
  3. Proactively monitor tax deadlines and maintain full compliance to prevent penalties or regulatory issues.
  4. Maintain precise accounting records, perform reconciliations, and organise supporting financial documentation.
  5. Liaise effectively with auditors, tax authorities, banks, and other key stakeholders as required.
  6. Carry out additional finance and accounting duties as directed by management.

Requirements

  1. A bachelor’s degree from a recognised university, supplemented by part-qualification in CA or CIMA.
  2. A minimum of 3 years’ experience in accounting and audit within a reputable organisation.
  3. Demonstrated knowledge of tax compliance with hands-on practical exposure to statutory submissions.
  4. Prior experience in a reputed audit firm will be a distinct advantage.
  5. Proven track record in managing VAT, SSCL, WHT, and income tax returns.
  6. Proficiency in MS Office — particularly Excel — and familiarity with accounting or ERP systems.
  7. Strong analytical thinking paired with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  8. A self-starter who can work independently, prioritise effectively, and maintain meticulous attention to detail.
