Accountant

We are an export company located in Dankotuwa area. We export our products to the international markets including Europe, Australia, and the Middle East. As part of our expansion plans, we are looking for an experienced and professional oriented fully or partly qualified accountant to be stationed at our factory office at Dankotuwa.

Key responsibilities

1. Responsible for the timely submission of statutory and management reports.
2. Responsible all product and export and import costings in a timely manner.
3. Participate in the budgeting, forecasting and business strategies.
4. Sound knowledge and experience in working on Q book and SAP systems.
5. Monitoring the cash flow and ensure the budget and forecast are being met.
6. Implement and maintain internal controls to safeguard the assets.
7. Liaise with external government authorities, auditors, tax advisors in discharging duties.
8. A sound knowledge about the export process and related banking matters is a must.
9. Prior experience in handling different types of taxes including VAT is preferable.

Desired profile

1. Fully or partly qualified – CA Sri Lanka, CIMA, ACCA.
2. Strong leadership skills and interpersonal skills.
3. Ability to multitask and handle pressure.
4. Minimum 2-3 years of export and manufacturing sector experience is preferable.
5. Residing within close proximity to Dankotuwa will be an advantage.
