Organic Cultivation – Held Officer
Applications are called from experienced candidates for “Field Officer; extension and training of the Nilmini Estates (Pvt) Ltd, home of Ahinsa products, who are engaged in Organic tea and spice cultivation Morawaka.
Basic responsibilities
Regular monitoring of organic tea and spice crops in the field and advising farmers accordingly.
Coordination of field assistance programs with relevant agencies
Coordination of field operations and documentation related to Organic and Fairtrade certifications
Organizing and conducting training sessions for farmers when required
Supervising famer record keeping
Advising farmers to maintain tea and intercrop yields with high quality and quantity
Expected Qualifications
Having good communication skills
Should have studied Science subject for A/L or Diploma or higher education in Agriculture
Knowledge of English and basic computer skills
Candidates in Galle and Matara districts are most encouraged to apply
Having a valid driving license (motorcycle)
Having a sound knowledge in Ma and spice cultivation, quality, and certification
Must be a good team player Correct candidates with Tea extension experience are welcome!
