Accountant

Blue Lanka Tours is looking for an experienced, well-motivated, and qualified Accountant to manage and head the accounts department at Blue Lanka Tours with responsibility and thorough commitment.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain systems for financial records keeping efficiently and accurately
• Conduct the administration of day-to-day bookkeeping and accounting functions
• Monitor the accounts receivable and accounts payable
• Manage the external and internal audits, liaising with tax consultants for meeting the statutory requirements timely
• Prepare monthly management information reports timely
• Compiling, analyzing, and reporting financial data as required
• Assist annual budgeting and forecasting in accordance with company finance and performance management-related frameworks

Qualifications / Criteria

• 5 – 7 years of financial experience of which at least three years in a similar capacity
• Fully/Partly Qualified Chartered Accountant or Practicing CIMA or ACCA member
• Graduate in Finance management from a reputed university
• In-depth understanding of interpreting the Accounting standards and tax regulations
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Decision-making skills
• Excellent mathematical and analytical skills
• Strong project management and organizing skills
• Meticulous and attention to detail and ongoing market changes/industry changes
• Age: Between 30-40
• Excellent command of English
• Knowledge of the Travel and Tourism Industry and the Accounting related to the sector will be an added advantage
• Computer Literacy
