Senior Executive – Design

We are looking for a highly accomplished, passionate individual to assist the Head of design in the research of new textile and fashion trends in relation to knitwear and then practically apply those materials and designs in an innovative form by working with the value chain and technical teams, whilst fulfilling customer expectations creatively as per given timelines.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist the Head of Design in research of textile, knit, shapes, and predictions for upcoming seasons on a commercial level innovatively
• Liaise with customers after marketing presentations and follow up on customer interests
• Collate information from sourcing/research trips into the trend book for Matrix
• Constantly research all customers’ behaviors and keep up to date with their vision, company strategy, and position in the global market
• Prepare mood boards using current and correct research material that will be showcased to the customer to assist in their design process
• Competently follow through from the design stage to sample range completion on forecasted trends
• Liaise with the sourcing and fabric team to source seasonal yarns and materials based on the seasonal calendar
• Develop seasonal fabric collection and develop marketing materials
• Develop seasonal design presentations and offer to customers which are aligned to value chain strategies
• Develop detailed tech packs and design sheets, and work closely with the engineer and programmer to get the right-first-time design sample
• Assist in the preparation of exhibits/ displays for customer visits, and obtain suitable garments by liaising with the relevant value chain teams whilst arranging same on a trend/ season-wise basis

Qualifications and Experience

• Degree in fashion design and product development
• 2-3 years of relevant work experience
