Senior Support & Implementation Engineer

Key responsibilities

• Handle critical production issues independently.
• Perform detailed root cause analysis and recommend permanent solutions.
• Coordinate with development, QA, infrastructure and product teams for faster issue resolution.
• Review and validate SQL scripts, data corrections and fixes before deployment.
• Monitor issue trends and suggest preventive actions for recurring incidents.
• Mentor and guide junior support engineers and service desk team members.
• Participate in release validation, deployment activities and production support.
• Prepare MIS reports, issue summaries and client status updates for management review.
• Lead implementation and rollout activities for assigned projects.
• Coordinate end-to-end implementation activities including requirement understanding, configuration, UAT and go-live support.
• Conduct requirement clarification and implementation planning sessions.
• Ensure successful migration, deployment and stabilization during implementation phases.
• Provide advanced user training and functional walkthroughs to client teams.
• Identify implementation risks and coordinate mitigation plans.
• Ensure proper documentation and client sign-offs.
• Support post go-live stabilization and transition to support teams.
• Manage multiple implementations while ensuring timely delivery.

Required skills

• Strong SQL server scripting and query-writing skills.
• Knowledge of stored procedures, joins, functions, views and triggers.
• Experience in data correction and database troubleshooting.
• Experience with ticketing and issue management systems.
• Good knowledge of spreadsheets and reporting tools.
• Basic understanding of application deployment and support processes.
• Knowledge of Linux/Windows server environment is an added advantage.

Qualifications

• B Sc in IT related field.

Experience

• 4 – 5 years of relevant experience.
