Accountant

J & W Brothers – The Gully Bowser Service is looking for a dedicated and experienced Accountant to join our growing team.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain accurate financial records and ensure proper documentation of all transactions.
• Manage accounts payable and receivable.
• Prepare financial reports and assist in budgeting and forecasting.
• Reconcile bank statements and maintain cash flow records.
• Support the finance team with month-end and year-end closing activities.
• Ensure compliance with tax regulations and statutory requirements.
• Work closely with internal and external auditors when required.

Requirements

• Professional qualification in finance, accounting or a related field.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in a similar role.
• Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
• Good analytical, problem-solving and organisational skills.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
