Responsibilities and requirements

  1. Having good PR & communication skills both verbal & written with an exceptional ability to correspond in English is a pre-requisite.
  2. Should be able to compile emails, memos and letters independently. Being able to type in English, Sinhala or Tamil would be an added advantage. Knowledge in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook and Power Point) essential.
  3. Should be a very methodical person who can clearly communicate and coordinate set assignments and get them completed on time.
  4. Need to be able to coordinate all purchasing related activities and be able to order and maintain needed supplies.
  5. Answer telephones and respond to inquiries via telephone or email.
  6. Schedule meetings, set up conference calls and take messages and minutes during meetings.
  7. Familiar with banking tasks, book keeping and basic accounting tasks as well as being able to do a bank reconciliation would be an added advantage.
  8. Perform administrative tasks, including filing and photocopying as well as maintain confidential files & records.
  9. Prepare and confirm overseas travel arrangements.
  10. Should be able to prepare presentations, sales reports etc.
  11. Implement and develop office procedures and record systems.
  12. Minimum 3 years of previous experience in a similar capacity is expected.
  13. However, energetic, enthusiastic school leavers who are looking at building a career is encouraged to apply highlighting educational, sporting & extra-curricular achievements.
  14. Need to be a good team player willing to spend extra hours when needed.
  15. Applicants should live in close proximity to Mount Lavinia.
