Manager / assistant manager – quality assurance

Key responsibilities

  1. Develop, implement, and maintain quality assurance systems and procedures.
  2. Ensure compliance with local and international food safety and regulatory standards.
  3. Monitor production processes to ensure product quality and consistency.
  4. Conduct internal audits and coordinate external audits/certifications.
  5. Maintain quality-related documentation and reports.
  6. Work closely with production and export teams to ensure quality requirements are met.
  7. Investigate quality issues and support corrective actions and continuous quality improvement initiatives.
  8. Plan and conduct relevant training programs and awareness sessions for all employees to ensure compliance with quality assurance, food safety, hygiene, and operational standards.
  9. Traceability, recall management and implement corrective and preventive actions.

Minimum requirements

  1. Degree / diploma in food science, quality management, or a related field.
  2. Minimum 3–5 years of experience in quality assurance, preferably in the food manufacturing industry.
  3. Prior experience in quality certification audits would be an added advantage.
  4. Strong knowledge of food safety systems & regulatory requirements.
  5. Knowledge of HACCP, FSSC, Halal, ISO standards, rainforest, fairtrade, carbon neutral, GMP, and food safety regulations.
  6. Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  7. Computer literacy and report-writing ability.
