Legal officer

Key qualifications

1. Attorney at law, notary public (Negambo) and commissioner for oaths.
2. Minimum 3 years of experience in a legal role, preferably in the corporate field and notary practice.
3. Strong knowledge of the law of conveyancing, corporate, commercial law, and labor law.
4. Strong communication skills.
5. Typing skills in Sinhala and English.
6. Male or female.

Responsibilities

1. Attesting to customer agreements and corporate agreements.
2. Attesting deeds and notarial documents.
3. Drafting, reviewing, and negotiating lease agreements, corporate and commercial agreements, and any other legal documents and letters.
4. Carrying out title search due diligence and verification of ownership of land (title clearance).
5. Providing legal advice and support across all departments within the organization.
