Intern GRC (Governance | Risk & Compliance) Specialist

We invite applications from suitably qualified individuals for the post of Intern GRC (Governance, Risk & Compliance) Specialist. The selected candidate will report to the Senior GRC Specialist.

Responsibilities

1. Assist in conducting risk assessments, compliance reviews, gap analysis, and policy evaluations.
2. Support ISO 27001, ISO 27701, PDPA, and other compliance frameworks by collecting evidence and maintaining audit-ready documentation.
3. Assist in developing, updating, and maintaining security policies, procedures, and GRC documentation.
4. Support internal and external audit activities, including preparation of evidence and tracking remediation actions.
5. Maintain and update risk registers, compliance trackers, and related GRC records.
6. Collaborate with technical and business teams to understand governance, risk, and compliance requirements.
7. Assist in monitoring regulatory and industry developments and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
8. Support the preparation of reports, dashboards, and presentations related to GRC activities.

Requirements

1. Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Cyber Security, Information Technology, or a related field.
2. Understanding of information security concepts and GRC frameworks such as ISO 27001, ISO 27701, NIST, PDPA, and GDPR.
3. Familiarity with risk assessment, compliance, audit processes, and security controls (academic or internship exposure acceptable).
4. Strong interest in governance, risk management, data protection, and compliance.
5. Good analytical thinking and attention to detail with strong documentation skills.
6. Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to work with different teams.
7. Structured security and compliance environment.
8. Ability to manage assigned tasks independently while contributing effectively in a team setting.
