Senior Executive – Finance

About the company

Tropikal Life International (Pvt) Ltd is a leading exporter of fresh fruits & vegetables, organic dried fruits, coconut and coconut products such as desiccated coconut & coconut water, and other produce of Sri Lankan and other multi origins. We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented senior executive – finance to join our finance team at our Seeduwa factory. The ideal candidate should possess strong accounting knowledge, analytical capabilities, and experience in a manufacturing environment.

Key responsibilities

1. Manage accounts payable functions, ensuring timely and accurate processing of payments.
2. Perform balance sheet reconciliations and maintain accurate financial records.
3. Monitor and manage inventory accounting and related reconciliations.
4. Coordinate and support annual financial audits, ensuring timely completion of audit requirements.
5. Prepare monthly gross profit (GP) workings and reconciliations.
6. Validate production records and ensure accurate system updates.
7. Prepare and analyze monthly management information system (MIS) reports.
8. Support management with financial analysis, costing, and overhead reporting.

Requirements

1. Degree or diploma in finance, accounting, or related field.
2. Part qualification in CA, CIMA, ACCA, AAT, or an equivalent professional accounting qualification.
3. 2-3 years of relevant experience in finance and accounting.
4. Sound knowledge of accounts payable functions and financial reconciliations.
5. Hands-on experience with ERP systems and accounting software.
6. Strong analytical skills with the ability to prepare MIS reports, costing analyses, and overhead reports.
7. Excellent attention to detail and ability to meet reporting deadlines.
8. Effective communication and coordination skills.
9. Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams including production, stores, sales, and audit.
10. Experience in the manufacturing industry will be a distinct advantage.
