Engineering Specialist – Preventive Maintenance

Key responsibilities

1. Plan, coordinate, and execute preventive maintenance programs to ensure equipment reliability, availability, and uninterrupted operations.
2. Monitor equipment performance, analyze failures and breakdown trends, and implement corrective actions to improve asset reliability and reduce downtime.
3. Develop and manage maintenance schedules, work orders, spare parts inventory, and maintenance records to ensure operational efficiency.
4. Troubleshoot and maintain mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, steam, compressed air, and utility systems to support continuous production operations.
5. Conduct equipment inspections, condition monitoring, and reliability assessments to identify potential failures and optimize maintenance strategies.
6. Review engineering drawings, technical manuals, and equipment specifications to support maintenance planning and problem resolution.
7. Monitor maintenance KPIs, prepare reports, and provide recommendations for performance improvement and cost optimization.
8. Support TPM, 5S, Kaizen, and other continuous improvement initiatives to enhance equipment performance and operational excellence.

Requirements

1. Bachelor’s degree or diploma in mechanical engineering.
2. 3-5 years of experience in mechanical and preventive maintenance within an industrial environment, or 2-3 years of experience in a manufacturing plant.
3. Strong knowledge of preventive maintenance, equipment reliability, troubleshooting, and maintenance best practices.
4. Experience with industrial machinery, condition monitoring techniques, and maintenance management systems.
5. Familiarity with manufacturing processes, including mixing, extrusion, calendaring, tire building, curing, and finishing operations will be an advantage.
6. Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and team coordination skills.
