Electrical Switchboard Draftsperson

As part of our expansion, we are looking for a skilled and detail-oriented Electrical Switchboard Draftsperson to join our dynamic team.

Key responsibilities

1. Prepare detailed 2D shop drawings for LV switchboards (MSB, MDB, DBs, Meter Panels).
2. Develop general arrangement (GA), single line diagrams (SLD), and schematic drawings.
3. Interpret project specifications, electrical drawings, and client requirements.
4. Ensure designs comply with relevant standards (AS/NZS, IEC).
5. Revise drawings based on internal reviews and client feedback.
6. Maintain proper documentation and drawing version control.

Nice to have

1. Experience with Eplan software.
2. Experience with 3D tools such as SolidWorks or Autodesk Inventor.
3. Exposure to estimation or panel manufacturing processes.
4. Familiarity with Australian standards (AS/NZS 61439, AS/NZS 3000) is highly desirable.

Requirements

1. Diploma or degree in electrical engineering or equivalent.
2. Seeking professionals with 3 to 8 years of dedicated experience specializing in LV switchboard design and drafting.
3. Strong proficiency in AutoCAD (AutoCAD Electrical is an advantage).
4. Good understanding of switchboard components (MCCBs, ACBs, RCBOs, metering, etc.).
5. Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and specifications.
6. Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
7. Good communication skills and ability to work in a team environment.
8. A positive attitude to learn and grow.
