About the company
Access Engineering PLC (AEL), an engineering and construction company with its diversified business operations in economic sectors of property, automobile, warehousing, mechanical engineering, renewable energy and radiopharmaceuticals, is pleased to invite applications for the following position in AEL group’s subsidiary.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in finance/ accounting from a recognized university.
- Fully qualified professional accountant CA Sri Lanka, CIMA, or equivalent professional qualification.
- Minimum 8–10 years of experience in finance, accounting, or a related field, including experience in a managerial capacity.
- Strong knowledge in financial management, financial reporting, and taxation.
- Hands-on experience with SAP ERP systems will be an added advantage.
Responsibilities
The successful candidate shall perform duties in the subsidiary as the head of finance and shall manage the financial health of the organization to promote success and growth while complying with legal and financial practices. Key responsibilities are as follows.
- Provide financial reports and interpret financial information to managerial staff while recommending further courses of action.
- Maintain the financial health of the organization.
- Analyze costs, pricing, variable contributions, sales results and the organization’s actual performance compared to the business plans.
- Manage the preparation of the organization’s budget.
- Liaise with auditors to ensure periodical /annual monitoring are carried out.
- Develop policies, procedures and protocols to maintain proper financial management, compliance and governance.
- Liaise with AEL & external auditors to ensure appropriate monitoring of organization’s financial processes and activities is maintained.
- Report directly to senior management and the board of directors.
