Senior Barista (Head Barista)

The head barista is responsible for overseeing beverage preparation, maintaining coffee quality standards, managing bar operations, and guiding barista staff.

What you will be doing

1. Prepare coffee and beverage items according to café standards.
2. Maintain consistency in beverage quality and presentation.
3. Supervise and support barista staff.
4. Train and guide trainee and junior baristas.
5. Monitor coffee bean and ingredient inventory.
6. Ensure proper operation and maintenance of coffee equipment.
7. Monitor cleanliness and organization of the beverage station.
8. Assist with developing beverage menus and specials.
9. Handle customer feedback relating to beverages.
10. Support overall café operations when needed.

Required qualifications

1. Minimum GCE O/L or A/L (high school diploma or equivalent).
2. Previous experience as a barista.
3. Strong understanding of coffee preparation techniques.
4. Leadership and team management skills.
5. Ability to train and mentor staff.
6. Good customer service skills.
7. Ability to work under pressure.
