Senior accounts officer – finance

Job responsibilities

1. Assist in preparation and review of annual financial statements, interim financial statements, and annual report.
2. Review of monthly management accounts and other regulatory reports (e.g., Central Bank of Sri Lanka, CBSL, etc.).
3. Prepare and review of SLFRS (Sri Lanka Financial Reporting Standards) impact assessments (e.g., ECL computations for loans and advances – collective and individual impairment, and other asset classes).
4. Prepare and review monthly business profitability reports to the management.
5. Contribute to finance-related system developments and ensure timely update the policies related to financial reporting.
6. Prepare and review MIS reports as required by internal and external stakeholders (e.g., Business Units, IRD, CBSL, internal and external auditors).
7. Perform any other tasks or responsibilities assigned by the management.

The person

1. Minimum 5 years of experience in banking at least 3 years in financial reporting.
2. Successful completion of CA Sri Lanka corporate level.
3. A bachelor’s degree in finance / accounting will be an added advantage.
4. Excellent command in both oral and written English.
5. Strong coordinating and leadership skills.
6. Highly motivated self-starter with the ability to multitask and complete assignments within the stipulated time frames.
