Job responsibilities
- Assist in preparation and review of annual financial statements, interim financial statements, and annual report.
- Review of monthly management accounts and other regulatory reports (e.g., Central Bank of Sri Lanka, CBSL, etc.).
- Prepare and review of SLFRS (Sri Lanka Financial Reporting Standards) impact assessments (e.g., ECL computations for loans and advances – collective and individual impairment, and other asset classes).
- Prepare and review monthly business profitability reports to the management.
- Contribute to finance-related system developments and ensure timely update the policies related to financial reporting.
- Prepare and review MIS reports as required by internal and external stakeholders (e.g., Business Units, IRD, CBSL, internal and external auditors).
- Perform any other tasks or responsibilities assigned by the management.
The person
- Minimum 5 years of experience in banking at least 3 years in financial reporting.
- Successful completion of CA Sri Lanka corporate level.
- A bachelor’s degree in finance / accounting will be an added advantage.
- Excellent command in both oral and written English.
- Strong coordinating and leadership skills.
- Highly motivated self-starter with the ability to multitask and complete assignments within the stipulated time frames.
