Head of maintenance

Miami Clothing is a leader in sustainable children’s apparel manufacturing, serving top global brands in the UK. We are seeking a Head of Maintenance to lead quality strategy and operations across our manufacturing facilities, ensuring the highest quality standards, customer satisfaction, and continuous improvement.

Key responsibilities

1. Plan, implement, and monitor preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance programs for all production machinery and factory utilities.
2. Ensure maximum machine availability and minimize production downtime through effective maintenance planning.
3. Monitor equipment performance and identify opportunities for process improvements, cost reduction, and productivity enhancement.
4. Support new machinery installation, factory expansion projects, and continuous improvement initiatives.
5. Lead and supervise maintenance teams, ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently, and within budget.

Qualifications

1. Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related technical field.
2. Minimum 7 years of maintenance experience in the apparel industry.
3. Extensive knowledge of apparel manufacturing machinery, including sewing machines, cutting machines, embroidery machines, washing equipment etc.
4. Frequent travel to all factory clusters and manufacturing locations is required.
5. Proven ability to lead maintenance operations across multiple manufacturing facilities.
