RPG Software Engineer

Job Profile / Main Responsibilities

• Programming on IBM power system (AS/400) platform
• System analysis and designing
• After-hour production support, live deployment, and troubleshooting
• Stakeholder management

Applicant’s Profile

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science / Information Technology / Information
• Systems from a reputed university or equivalent qualification
• Preferably below 45 years of age
• Minimum of three (03) years of experience in RPG programming (RPG/400, RPGLE, CLLE, RPG FREE CLLE, sac/400, SQLRPGLE) languages on AS/400 (IBM power system)
• Conversant in OS/400 (IBM i) and related tools
• Experience in Integrated File System, DB2/400, and handling data queues
• Experience in Web Service development on AS/400 and calling web services from AS/400 platform is preferred
• A good team player with strong analytical, and interpersonal and willing to take up challenges
• Good understanding of technology & architectural concepts
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to present technical concepts to a non-technical audience
• Contribute to improving the Agile practice and adhering to the organization’s agility
• Knowledge in the Banking and Financial domain will be an added advantage
