Chef de Partie (Personal Chef) – Hot Kitchen

We are seeking a skilled and versatile Chef de Partie (Hot Kitchen) to serve as a dedicated personal chef at the chairman’s bungalow. The role demands excellence across Sri Lankan, Western, and Indian cuisines combining everyday meal preparation with the ability maintain high standards of taste, presentation, hygiene, and in kitchen inventory management.

Key responsibilities

  1. Prepare daily meals for the chairman and guests as required.
  2. Cook a variety of Sri Lankan, Western, and Indian dishes.
  3. Plan menus based on preferences, dietary requirements, and special occasions.
  4. Maintain high standards of food quality, taste, and presentation.
  5. Ensure cleanliness, hygiene, and proper food safety standards in the kitchen.
  6. Manage kitchen inventory, sourcing, grocery lists, and stock requirements.
  7. Coordinate with bungalow staff for meal timing and guest arrangements.
  8. Prepare meals for small private gatherings or special events when required.

Requirements

  1. Minimum 3 years’ experience as Chef de Partie or equivalent in a hot kitchen environment.
  2. Proficiency in Sri Lankan, Western, and Indian culinary traditions.
  3. Experience in a private household, boutique hotel, or fine dining establishment.
  4. Strong knowledge of food safety, food handling, and kitchen/inventory management.
  5. Flexible working attitude and willingness to work according to household requirements.

Added advantage

  1. Experience in cocktail preparation, beverage pairing, or bar service.
