Key responsibilities

1. End-to-end financial management
2. Manage the full accounting cycle including AP/AR, general ledger, and bank reconciliations.
3. Statutory compliance & taxation
4. Ensure full compliance with Sri Lankan statutory requirements.
5. Prepare and submit all tax returns on time (VAT, APIT).
6. Coordinate with auditors, tax consultants, labour department officers, and government authorities.
7. Financial reporting & analysis
8. Prepare timely SLFRS-compliant monthly management accounts.
9. Prepare annual financial accounts.
10. Internal controls & process improvement
11. Develop and maintain strong internal financial controls.
12. Continuously improve accounting processes, system efficiency, and reporting accuracy.

Qualifications & requirements

1. Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance
2. Full or part qualification in CA Sri Lanka, CIMA, ACCA, or CMA is mandatory.
3. Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in an accountant role, preferably if experienced in CA/auditing firm.
4. In-depth, practical knowledge of Sri Lankan tax laws and accounting rules is a must.
