Qualifications

External candidates:

1. A degree in a relevant field for the post which is recognized by the UGC.
2. And at least five (05) years post qualifying experience in a relevant field in a corporation, board or a reputed statutory institution.
3. Or having served in the armed forces such as the army, navy or air force, holding the rank of warrant officer or above, or in the position of police sub-inspector of the Sri Lanka police, with 15 years experience and having formally retired.
4. And at least three (03) years post qualifying experience in a relevant field in a corporation, board or a reputed statutory institution.
5. Or having obtained a certificate of proficiency not below the national vocational qualification level 5 (NVQ 5) issued by a vocational training institute or diploma in human resource management, labour law or criminology any other institute accepted by the tertiary and vocational education commission.
6. And at least ten (10) years post qualifying experience in a relevant field in a corporation, board or reputed statutory institution.
7. English language speaking proficiency.
8. Must be permanent residents in Matale – Anuradhapura or Gampaha, Puttalam Kurunegala area.

Internal candidates:

1. Having obtained the qualifications required by the external candidates under no.02 mentioned above.
2. And completion of minimum five (05) years satisfactory service in a post of the ‘management assistant (MA1) grade II, in the subject area relevant to the post or 3 years’ security experience as CSO or OIC.

Salary and appointment details

1. Salary code: JM 1-1- 2025 (II)
2. Salary scale: Rs.{ 72,650 – 10×1,360 – 18 x2,040 = 122,970}
3. Salary: Will be paid a basic salary of Rs.65,633 since 01.01.2026 and cost of living allowance Rs.17,800.00
4. Age: Should not be less than 22 years and not more than 45 years. The upper age limit will not apply to internal candidates.
5. Nature of appointment: Permanent basis with 03 years’ probation with entitlement to E.P.F. and E.T.F

1. Should be a citizen of Sri Lanka.
2. Should be physically and mentally fit to discharge the duties of the post well and to serve in any part of Sri Lanka.
3. Should be of excellent moral character.
