GRI is a leading specialty tire producer in Sri Lanka. We have been supplying tires to more than 100 countries worldwide since 2002. GRI has sales offices in the United States, Europe, and Australia. We produce high-performance tires for agriculture, material handling, and construction vehicles.

We are seeking a highly motivated Assistant Manager – Technical Service who will support the planning, coordination, and delivery of technical service operations across the organization. This role is responsible for ensuring the smooth functioning, maintenance, and optimization of technical systems and services to meet business requirements and operational standards.

You will assist in managing service processes, troubleshooting technical issues, and coordinating with internal teams and external partners to maintain service quality and reliability. A key focus of this role is to enhance system performance, ensure timely issue resolution, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives. This position is based at our factory located in Badalgama, Negambo.

Duties and responsibilities

1. Field visit to study on market condition & product performance share feedback with R&D for development.
2. Customer support on technical aspects.
3. Claim handling & settlement.
4. Capture new market.
5. Analysis of field behaviour and competitions performance.
6. Business development with local customers.
7. Support on new product development.
8. Specification management & BOM control.
9. Process control of local market products – truck/light truck/farm/ind tires.

Essential qualifications / exposure

1. Sound knowledge of pneumatic tire processes and applications (agriculture, industrial, and truck segments).
2. Basic understanding of vehicle dynamics and configurations.
3. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
4. Familiarity with SAP and IFS systems.
5. Knowledge of quality tools and methodologies.
6. Minimum 6 years of experience in the tire industry, with preference for TBB/TBR experience.
