Management accountant

Colombo Wooden Company (Pvt) Ltd is a manufacturer of packaging for the foodservice industry. We are located in Ratmalana.

We are hiring a Management focused Accountant to handle all accounting and finance-related activities at our company.

General accounting responsibilities

1. Basic accounting functions including: overseeing maintenance of ledgers, bank reconciliations, managing accounts payable/receivable.
2. Ensuring compliance with all tax regulations including WHT, VAT, EPF/ETF; liaising with tax authorities.
3. Generating monthly financial reports and analyses, and other reports as required.
4. Developing and enforcing financial policies and procedures to ensure compliance with internal controls & external regulations.

Management accounting responsibilities

1. Preparing product costings and monitoring cost variances.
2. Participating at management meetings to drive improvements in company performance indicators.

Qualifications

1. At least 5 years experience as a management accountant.
2. Degree or higher in accounting or accounting-related discipline; or passed in CIMA/ACA/ACCA/CA.
3. Strong English language skills, proficiency in accounting packages + office suite and other software.
4. Able to operate with minimal supervision and solve issues if they arise.
